Thesis Statement
In the early 20th century, Greenwood or Black Wall Street thrived in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The leaders of Black Wall Street showed the African American community as a whole that racism, economic disadvantage, and inequality could not prevent them from achieving the vision of a well-established and prosperous community and leave a legacy that could not be destroyed.
